Help: What Size Is My Digital Photo Frame?
Digital photo frames and text
Photos come in many sizes, often larger than your digital photo frame. Your frame just squashes them to fit. That's OK for a photograph but squashed text can really suffer in quality, especially with cheaper frames.
We avoid this problem by offering our products in all of the most common photo frame sizes. When our products are displayed on your photo panel they are not scaled. Thus quality is preserved.
Available sizes
The size of a photo frame is given in the form H×V where H is the number of pixels across and V is the number of pixels down. Each of our products is available in these sizes:
480x234, 480x320, 640x480, 800x480, 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x800.
All you have to do is choose the most appropriate size for your frame. If your frame's size is not one of those listed, choose the one that is closest.
Please note that 480x234 is the smallest frame size that we support. Smaller frames are sold but these are not suitable for displaying text.
Determining the frame size
Here are a number of ways you can figure out the size of your digital photo frame:
Look in the manual that came with your digital photo frame, or on the box. If you spot one of our standard sizes (480x234, 480x320, 640x480, 800x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x800) then you are done.
Some frames quote a "viewing area" slightly smaller than the actual size. If your frame has a viewing area of [680 to 750]x480 then choose 800x480. Likewise if it has a viewing area of [680 to 750]x600 then choose 800x600.
If you don't have the manual, you can often find a copy on the manufacturer's website.
Read the make and model off the photo frame and check it against the table at the end of this page. We can't list every frame but we have tried to include those from the major manufacturers at least.
Download our test cards. This compressed file contains 7 images, one for each of the standard sizes. A typical card looks like this:

Unzip the file and load all of the cards onto your photo frame, and make sure that the frame is set to show photos in "full screen" format. As you view the 7 images, note the one that looks best. You will know it's the best because:
- you can see the entire blue border
- the horizontal and vertical black lines are distinct and evenly spaced
- the text is crisp and clear
- the image fills the photo frame
When you have found the best card, note the size indicated on it.

List of digital photo frames
This list contains only a fraction of the hundreds of models of digital photo frame out there so don't worry if you don't find your particular model here. You will still be able to use our products with your frame (as long as it's at least 480x234 in size).
